On the missing Pentagon trillions and $ 6 trillion "fake" bonds in Switzerland.

The person operating behind  the handle Tyler Durden at Zero hedge blog yesterday broke some very interesting news.

It seems that a cache or about $ 6 trillion “fake” bonds has been found in a bank vault in Zurich. The bonds are dated 1934 and worth a billion each. Now that in itself is already worth investigating. $6 trillion in bonds each worth 1 billion would have been out of he question in that time. Hell it’s pretty impossible now to think if these numbers. The entire amount of dollars floating around in the system is about $10 trillion. So were did they come from. Who printed them and why are they called a huge danger to the financial system.

I’m not trying to connect dots that don’t exist here but what came straight into my mind was the missing Pentagon trillions. That was another enigma. How come the Pentagon could loose a staggering $ 2.3 trillion over a period of five years with only a budget of  hundreds of Billions of $ over that same period and we are now 10.5 years further down the line so how much more has gone astray?

Me thinks this either disappears or we haven’t heard the last of it yet.

=============================

Back in the summer of 2009, a peculiar story circulated when two Japanese individuals were arrested trying to smuggle $134 billion in US bonds into Switzerland from Italy. The story quickly died down after it was subsequently reported that the bonds were merely fake bearer bonds. Nobody heard much about it since then. Until today, when out of the blue we get a new story which blows that one out of the water. According to Bloomberg, “Italian anti-mafia prosecutors said they seized a record $6 trillion of allegedly fake U.S. Treasury bonds, an amount that’s almost half of the U.S.’s public debt.” From here the story just gets weirder: “The bonds were found hidden in makeshift compartments of three safety deposit boxes in Zurich, the prosecutors from the southern city of Potenza said in an e-mailed statement. The Italian authorities arrested eight people in connection with the probe, dubbed “Operation Vulcanica,” the prosecutors said. The U.S. embassy in Rome has examined the securities dated 1934, which had a nominal value of $1 billion apiece, they said in the statement. Officials for the embassy didn’t have an immediate comment.” …And weirder: “The individuals involved were planning to buy plutonium from Nigerian sources, according to phone conversations monitored by the police.” …And really, really weird: “The fraud posed “severe threats” to international financial stability, the prosecutors said in the statement.” Ok great, however one thing we don’t get is just how can $6 trillion in glaringly fake bombs be a “threat to international financial stability.

Pentagon Seeks Mightier Bomb vs. Iran

WASHINGTON—Pentagon war planners have concluded that their largest conventional bomb isn’t yet capable of destroying Iran’s most heavily fortified underground facilities, and are stepping up efforts to make it more powerful, according to U.S. officials briefed on the plan.

The 30,000-pound “bunker-buster” bomb, known as the Massive Ordnance Penetrator, was specifically designed to take out the hardened fortifications built by Iran and North Korea to cloak their nuclear programs.

U.S. Army tests hypersonic weapon that travels five times the speed of sound… and can hit ANY target on earth in 30mins

A hypersonic flying missile that can strike a target anywhere in the world in just 30 minutes has been unveiled by the U.S. military.

The Advanced Hypersonic Weapon (AHW), which travels five times the speed of sound, was successfully tested yesterday.

It was launched by rocket from Hawaii at 11.30am, glided south westwards through the upper atmosphere over the Pacific at ‘hypersonic speed’ before hitting its target on the Kwajalein atoll in the Marshall Islands – some 2,500 miles away.

It comes hot on the heels of the U.S. Air Force announcement that it has taken delivery of eight, 15-ton bunker buster bombs, called the Massive Ordnance Penetrator, that can blow apart 200ft of concrete.

Taliban Rockets Hit Afghan Capital

At the end of WWII, when the allied forces and the Soviets were approaching Berlin (the German Capital), the German population was told on the radio that the heroic German troops (By than a bedraggled army of exhausted males and child and old age pensioners were winning). Of course they won closer and closer to the Capital but hey, the didn’t loose.

The amount of troops in Afghanistan has risen from 40.000 to over 100.000. and the Pentagon is planning to send more troops. More kids than ever are coming back in body bags and still the Taliban can shoot rockets into the Afghan Capital. What does that tell you?

Yep, were winning all the way to the Capital. Of course that’s called losing in the real world but not if you own the media and you need to stay in Afghanistan because of the resources.
Then you can call it winning until the cows come home.

KABUL, Afghanistan—The Taliban rocketed Afghanistan’s capital before dawn Tuesday, briefly shaking this relatively calm city and sending a clear warning they plan to make good on threats to violently disrupt the upcoming presidential election.

Associated PressAn Afghan police man stands guard next to the broken window of a residential house after a rocket hit near U.S embassy in Kabul.

At least seven rockets slammed into Kabul, wounding two people, said Muhammad Khalil Dastyar, Kabul’s deputy police chief. Two hit the city’s diplomatic area, landing near the U.S. embassy and the headquarters of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization force in Afghanistan, officials said.

The house of a senior Interior Ministry was lightly damaged along with a few other buildings, Mr. Dastyar said.

Afghan security forces were able to defuse one of the five rockets that landed outside the diplomatic area, said Ibadullah Khan, an Interior Ministry spokesman.

The rockets were fired from an area about 20 kilometers north of the city, Mr. Dastyar said.

U.S. and NATO officials said there were no indications that the embassy or NATO headquarters were the intended targets and no extra measures beyond their already stringent security had been put in place.

Pentagon Envisioning a Costly Internet for War

With this and the drones currently used they can go anywhere anytime and kill from behind their office desks.

The Pentagon is building its own Internet, the military’s world wide web for the wars of the future.

The goal is to give all American commanders and troops a moving picture of all foreign enemies and threats – “a God’s-eye view” of battle.

This “Internet in the sky,” Peter Teets, under secretary of the Air Force, told Congress, would allow “marines in a Humvee, in a faraway land, in the middle of a rainstorm, to open up their laptops, request imagery” from a spy satellite, and “get it downloaded within seconds.”

Military’s new cyber command now online

The US military has set up a new “cyberspace” command designed to bolster the country’s defenses against threats to computer networks and to wage digital warfare, the Pentagon said on Tuesday.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates formally established the command — the country’s first — that would operate initially under US Strategic Command, Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman told AFP.

The command will begin operating in October and be fully operational in October 2010, Whitman said.

Pentagon Seeks Fleet Of Massive DARPA Spy Blimps

Hovering 12 miles up, airships will scan vast expanses

The Pentagon has announced intentions to launch an entire fleet of giant 450-foot-long airships which will act as a massive airborne radar system providing perpetual surveillance of vehicles, planes and people on the ground.

The Pentagon said Thursday that it intends to spend $400 million to develop a giant dirigible that will operate on hydrogen fuel cells and solar panels, floating 65,000 feet above the Earth for 10 years, reports the LA TImes.

The airships will be around twenty times larger than the Goodyear Blimp, giving ground operators the capability of monitoring an area hundreds of miles in diameter at a time with surveillance equipment, such as high-resolution cameras, in addition to the football-field-sized radar antenna.

Although very large, the airships will be invisible to both the naked eye and ground radar because of their distance from the earth, hovering around 12 miles above the ground.

The craft would also operate beyond the range of any hand-held missile, many surface-to-air missiles and most fighter planes.

I'm in excellent company: Meet Capt. Russ Wittenberg, U.S. Air Force

When you tell people you cannot believe the official “Conpiracy theory” about 19 young Arab hijackers send by an insane extremist from a cave in Afghanistan to hijack 4 planes and fly them into buildings, they often react with, “oh, you must be a Conspiracy theorist.” Indicating that they don’t have to take me serious. Well, maybe you don’t have to take me serious but guess what, you might have to take this chap serious. He knows what he is talking about and once again I find myself in bloody good company.

I would like to introduce you to another fellow truther. Meet Capt. Russ Wittenberg, US Airforce.

Cap. Wittenberg

Cap. Wittenberg

Captain Wittenberg is not just your ordinary wide eyed Conspiracy nut. Captain Wittenberg is a Former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot with over 100 combat missions.  He is a retired commercial pilot.  he flew for Pan Am and United Airlines for 35 years.
Aircraft flown: Boeing 707, 720, 727, 737, 747, 757, 767, and 777.  30,000+ total hours flown.

In fact he has flown the actual two United Airlines aircraft that were hijacked on 9/11 (Flight 93, which impacted in Pennsylvania, and Flight 175, the second plane to hit the WTC).

Cap. Wittenberg states unequivocally that for Hani Hanjour, the Hijacker who allegedly flew the plane that hit the  Pentagon but who was refused the rental of a Cessna because of his bad flying skills,  to have flown the plane that allegedly hit the Pentagon would have been absolutely impossible. Why?

In his own words: “I don’t believe it’s possible for, like I said, for a terrorist, a so-called terrorist to train on a [Cessna] 172, then jump in a cockpit of a 757-767 class cockpit, and vertical navigate the aircraft, lateral navigate the aircraft, and fly the airplane at speeds exceeding it’s design limit speed by well over 100 knots, make high-speed high-banked turns, exceeding — pulling probably 5, 6, 7 G’s.  And the aircraft would literally fall out of the sky.  I couldn’t do it and I’m absolutely positive they couldn’t do it.”

When a man of such experience says something like this I tend to believe him, don’t you?

So if hijacker Hani Hanjour was incapable of flying that plane than who did and why was ther absolutely no wreckage left of a 100 ton airplane on the lawns of the Pentagon?

You see we have a problem with the official story here?

Defense Intelligence Agency Seeking "Mind Control" Weapons

Oh shit, I might have to make me a tinfoil hat after all! LOL.

A new report from the National Academy of Sciences’ National Research Council (NRC) argues that the Pentagon should harvest the fruits of neuroscientific research in order to enhance the “warfighting” capabilities of U.S. soldiers while diminishing those of enemy personnel.

The 151-page report issued by a 16-member blue ribbon commission, “Cognitive Neuroscience Research and National Security,” was quietly announced in an August 13 National Academy of Sciences Press Release.

Commissioned by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), the Pentagon spy shop, the study asserts that the U.S. intelligence “community” must do a better job following cutting-edge research in neuroscience or as is more likely, steering it along paths useful to the Defense Department. According to the NRC,

Trouble at the Pentagon

The day before 9/11 on 9/10 Rumsfeld declared war. Not on a foreign anemy but on his own book keeping department: the Pantagon bureaucracy. Why? Because he announced that $ 2.3 had gone missing.

On 9/11 Hani Hanjour, the pilot whose  flying skills were so limited that he could not hire a Cessna flew towards the Pentagon from the South West and approached the Pentagon head on. If he had simply pushed the steering wheel forward he would have landed the plane slap bam into Rumsfelds office. But he doesn’t!. He makes a manouvre so complicated that an experienced Boeing 757 pilot and instructor needed ten attempts to succeed only once. None of his students, al already experienced flyers in their own right, could do it.
This is the simulation, based on the flight data they had received upon a FOIA request, of that flight made by a group of pilots investigating the events of 911.

The 757 turned around the Pentagon and allegedly hit the Pentagon flying just a meter above ground. breaking light poles in the process and hit the site which had just been rebuild to withstand such impacts and evaporated in the hole which was only 16 ft in diameter. The site that was hit housed the bookkeeping department. Little under 130 people died in that impact all of them bookkeepers.

Now new reports surface about financial irregularities at the Pentagon. if I was a bookkeeper there I’d thin about leaving for a new job about as far as I could away from that building.(travellerev)

The Pentagon is in crisis: The war in Iraq is entering its fifth hot summer. And while U.S. troop casualties are down, the light at the end of the occupation tunnel is no closer and no brighter.

Headaches mount on the home front as well. The head of the Air Force was recently embarrassed and forced from the cockpit. Billions of dollars have been misplaced or misspent. Huge cost overruns bedevil weapons contractors. And, private contractors have formed a cubicle mercenary force, outnumbering uniformed personnel and federal employees in many DoD agencies.

The Government Accountability Office has issued a series of reports on these problems. While the watchdog agency sticks to the script of analytic bureaucratese, what they document is cumulatively damning to business as usual at the Pentagon.

Money Problems

The Pentagon has its work cut out for it. Keeping track of its more than half trillion dollar budget and the hundreds of billions more in war spending is no easy task. There is bound to be some slippage here and there. But the Pentagon’s Inspector General’s Office recently reported to Congress that the Pentagon is unable to account for nearly $15 billion earmarked for the Iraq reconstruction effort. In a May report to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, the Inspector General’s Office highlights $7.8 billion paid to contractors for everything from telephones to trucks without any support documentation—like a check for $5.6 million to an Iraqi contractor. For what? No one knows. Or the $32 million doled out to build a facility for the Iraqi military. Never built. Why not? No one knows.
